Dahlia Cactus ‘Colour Spectacle’

Dahlia 'Colour Spectacle' is a large and dramatic semi-cactus type with coral-orange flowers tipped in white.

Dahlia ‘Colour Spectacle’ is a semi-cactus cultivar that offers a spectacular tropical effect in the garden. The flowers are fully double, and 8-10 inches across with wider petals than most cactus-types displaying coral- to tangerine-orange petals tipped in white on 3-4 foot tall stems. A prolific bloomer from summer to frost. Fantastic in the border and as a cut flower. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location. Pollinator attractor. Moderately deer resistant.
