‘Ventricosum Pastel’ has large, inflated ivory white pouches and pale creamy green tepals with a delicate twist. Extremely vigorous forming sizable clumps in only a few years. Grows to 35-45 cm (14-18 in.) high. Blooms in May. A cross between the European lady’s slipper C. calceolus and the Siberian C. macranthos album. Grown from seed. Plants will resemble the image but may not be identical. Lady’s slipper hybrids are much more vigorous and easy to grow than species. Well cared for clumps can double their flowering stems ever year!
