Cypripedium ‘Sunny’

'Sunny' is a robust Cypripedium hybrid quickly forming clumps with many yellow and red lady's slippers.

‘Sunny’ has large, long-lasting flowers held on sturdy stems. The slipper is yellow with a waxy sheen. The sepals are so heavily veined with red that from a distance they appear completely red. Planted in the right conditions it can produce sizeable clumps packed with many flowers in only a few years. Grows 40-50 cm (16-20 in) high with broad leaves and strong stems. Grown from seed. Plants will resemble the image but may not be identical. Lady’s slipper hybrids are much more vigorous and easy to grow than species. Well cared for clumps can double their flowering stems ever year!
