Cypripedium ‘Sabine Pastel’

Cypripedium 'Sabine Pastel' has huge lady's slipper flowers in pure white and pale yellow.

‘Sabine Pastel’ is a rare white flowered form of ‘Sabine’. It offers huge flowers in May with lips the size of a chicken egg! The lip is ivory white and the tepals are pale yellow. The plant itself grows to a maximum of 50 cm (20 inches). Strong stems and long lasting flowers that bloom for three weeks complete the list of attributes for a great garden display. A cross of two Chinese species: C. fasciolatum and C. macranthos. Grown from seed. Plants will resemble the image but may not be identical. Lady’s slipper hybrids are much more vigorous and easy to grow than species. Well cared for clumps can double their flowering stems ever year! Blooming size with multiple eyes.
