Crocus vernus ‘Flower Record’ is a giant Dutch crocus with large, grape purple and mauve flowers with a lighter to white throat and orange stamens. It is vigorous, easy to grow, and multiplies quickly. Species, or snow crocus, are some of the first bulbs to emerge in the late winter, two weeks before other forms. They will grow anywhere grass does, but don’t mow them until the foliage dies back.
