Crocus ‘Vanguard’ is a distinctive Dutch crocus with large, two-toned flowers with alternating lavender purple and pale soft grey-blue to white petals. It is vigorous, easy to grow, and multiplies quickly. Species, or snow crocus, are some of the first bulbs to emerge in the late winter, two weeks before other forms. They will grow anywhere grass does, but don’t mow them until the foliage dies back.
