Crocus chrysanthus 'Herald' has lovely yellow to deep yellow petals with deep purple reverses.
Crocus chrysanthus ‘Herald’ has lovely yellow to deep yellow petals with deep purple reverses. The flowers are smaller than the large Dutch hybrids and bloom earlier. Species, or snow crocus, are some of the first bulbs to emerge in the late winter, two weeks before other forms. They will grow anywhere grass does, but don’t mow them until the foliage dies back.
