Crinum x powellii

Crinum x powellii is an amaryllis relative with strap-like foliage and pink flowers at the height of summer.

Crinum x powellii is a hardy, easy-to-grow amaryllis relative with bold strap-like leaves rising from large fleshy bulbs. In summer the foliage is topped with pink amaryllis-like flowers over a long period. This hybrid was bred in the 19th century in England from the two hardiest crinums, both South African species: C. bulbispermum and C. moorei.
