Corylopsis spicata ‘Aurea’

The beautiful arching and zig-zagging branches of this deciduous shrub look amazing holding snow in the winter and with the cheerful, pendulous, pale yellow flowers held in dangling racemes in early spring. The leaves are orb-shaped and bright yellow, possibly turning to pale green later in the season. Underplant with Pulmonaria, cyclamen, Ophiopogon, hellebores and Omphalodes.
