‘Summer Gold’ is a superlative variegated Cornus kousa with golden yellow margins on unkrinkled leaves which turn to flamingo pink in late summer than to tones of burgundy and bright red in fall. This cultivar has a pleasing upright habit. The flowers are a beautiful white in spring. Edible, red, strawberry-like fruits attract birds in late summer and fall. Grows 10-15′ tall and wide. Possibly hardy to zone 4. For the 2025 Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order plants will be in 1g pots and about 1-2 feet tall.
