Cornus kousa ‘Milky Way’

Cornus kousa 'Blue Ray' offers distinctive bluish foliage accented with white flowers each spring.

Cornus kousa ‘Milky Way’ blooms with a profusion of creamy white, starry flowers with pointed bracts followed by edible strawberry-like fruit in late summer. The leaves turn burgundy, red and orange in autumn. Best grown in organically rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Some afternoon shade is best in hot summer climates. Will reach about eight feet in 10 years, eventually growing to about 15-30 feet tall and wide. For the 2025 Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order plants will be in 1g pots and about 1-2 feet tall.
