Conophytum vanzylii

Conophytum vanzylii is a living pebble with nearly perfectly round bluish green spheres with a small cleft like red lips.

Conophytum vanzylii is a cute living pebble forming nearly perfectly round bluish green spheres (sometimes flattened on top) with a small cleft on the top that is often flushed with red like lips painted with lipstick. The centre of each sphere, which is actually two closely fused leaves, gives rise to highly fragrant, star-like deep yellow to yellow-orange, night-blooming flowers with yellow centres. They can form colonies with time. Our plants are potted one plant per pot. Often considered a subspecies of C. calculus.
