Colocasia ‘Redemption’

Colocasia 'Redemption' is an elephant ears with almost black foliage and a bold neon-pink centre.

Colocasia ‘Redemption’ is a breakthrough in elephant ear breeding. Growing to four feet tall the rippled, shiny green leaves emerge and quickly turn to dark burgundy. As the leaves mature, a neon-pink central shield forms and radiates outward in the veins like a starburst. The rich pink gets even more vibrant in the heat. Yellowish-white spathes and spadixes may appear in summer but are usually hidden by the foliage. Grow as a marginal plant by ponds or in pots or beds with evenly moist soil. A houseplant in winter for most. Provide lots of water and fertilizer.
