Colocasia 'Polargreen' is the first ever zone 5 hardy elephant ears with large, bright green leaves and pink stems.

Colocasia ‘Polargreen’ is the first ever zone 5 hardy elephant ears! It makes for a stunning display with its impressive height from 3-5 feet tall and its distinctive, floppy green leaves and pink stems. Yellowish-white spathes and spadixes may appear in summer but are usually hidden by the foliage. Mulch well if planted in the ground over the winter, or, if in a pot and left outside, move to a protected area. Treat as a houseplant in winter in colder regions. Provide lots of water and fertilizer when in growth. Grow as a marginal plant by ponds or in pots or beds with evenly moist soil.
