Colocasia ‘White Lava’ is a taro or elephant’s ear with huge, dramatic, arrow-shaped, glossy green leaves with broad, cream coloured bands running down their centres that radiate out into the veins, all rising above dark purple stems. Their blooms consist of a spathe and spadix that are yellow-green. Grow as a marginal plant in ponds or in pots or beds with evenly moist soil. Though potentially hardy they are best brought in as a houseplant. Hardy to zone 7b.
