Colocasia exculenta 'Ele Paio' is a rare taro with shiny, green tropical foliage randomly striped and speckled in white.

Colocasia esculenta ‘Ele Paio’ is a very rare taro or elephant ear named after the rare Hawaiian flycatcher bird. It offers large, dramatic, arrow-shaped, variegated, glossy green and white leaves randomly splashed and spotted in white. Every leaf is different! Summer blooms consist of a yellow spathe and spadix. Grow as a marginal plant by ponds or in pots or beds with evenly moist soil. Though potentially hardy to zone 7b, they are best brought in as a houseplant over winter. Deer and rabbit resistant.
