Clematis x fargesioides

Clematis x fargesioides has masses of fragrant, silver dollar-sized, white flowers throughout the summer.

Clematis x fargesioides is a great plant for those who want a sweet autumn clematis (C. paniculata) but at half the height or for those who already have one but want a display of masses of dainty white, fragrant flowers to start earlier in the season in June or early July. A cross between C. fargesii var. souliei and C. vitalba, the masses of silver dollar-sized white flowers are very similar to C. fargesii, while the growth habit follows that of C. vitalba. Heavy blooming throughout the summer. Pruning group C. Photo: Wikipedia.
