Clematis ‘Jackmanii’

'Jackmanii' has deep purple four to six inch wide flowers in profusion. It is the classic purple in the Clematis world.

‘Jackmanii’ is perhaps the most beloved of all Clematis. It is a classic cultivar first hybridized in 1862 and is still one of the best. It has deep royal purple 4-6 inch wide flowers in profusion normally with four petals but sometimes with five to six. Try growing it into an old rhododendron or through a climbing rose.
