Citrus-Grapefruit-x Citroncirus ‘Dunstan’

'Dunstan' citrumelo forms large grapefruit-sized fruits. It is easily hardy to zone 8 and most likely zone 7!

‘Dunstan’ is a citrumelo which is an intergeneric cross between a grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) and the trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata) whose proper Latin name is xCitroncirus. It forms large grapefruit-sized fruits that are yellow to light orange with thin skin and a flavour like a cross between a lemon and a grapefruit. Hardy in coastal BC to at least -12 degrees Celsius and likely hardier into zone 7. All of our citrus are grafted onto C-35 citrange, trifoliate orange, or other semi-dwarfing rootstock which confer good hardiness and production while reducing overall tree size.
