Chrysogonum virginiana ‘Allen Bush’ is a tough eastern North American native plant commonly known as goldenstar. This low-growing evergreen perennial is a favoured ground cover for the woodland garden growing 6 to 12 inches high and spreading to 12 or more inches wide by rhizomes. Long blooming, yellow, daisy-like flowers bloom just above the ovate, toothed and bright green leaves that forms a mat of foliage. Great for brightening the shade garden and rambling along the edges of garden paths and borders. Suppresses weeds and attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
