Capsicum baccatum Mighty Veggie ‘Mad Hatter’
Mighty Veggie grafted peppers produce 2-3 times (or more!) fruit than ungrafted plants and are more cold tolerant and disease resistant.

‘Mad Hatter’ is a crazy, exotic pepper offering new flavours for your summer cooking! It is a relative of our garden pepper known as C. baccatum from South America commonly used in Bolivian and Peruvian cuisines. It offers a refreshing, citrusy, floral flavour that remains sweet, only occasionally expressing mild heat near the seeds. Plants are vigorous with high yields. Use your abundant harvest raw in salads, pickled, in stirfries, or stuffed with cheese. 65 to 70 days to mature to green; 85 to 90 days to ripen to red. Mighty Veggies grafted vegetables are hand grafted onto super strong rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so veggies start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Veggie grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields.
