Capsicum annuum Mighty Veggie ‘Purple Star’
Mighty Veggie grafted peppers produce 2-3 times (or more!) fruit than ungrafted plants and are more cold tolerant and disease resistant.

‘Purple Star’ is a striking royal purple coloured bell pepper that offers 3-3.5 inch wide juicy, flavourful, thick-walled fruit. The fruit begins amethyst purple, deepens to royal purple, and then ages to red. Pick when the purple is at its richest but red fruit will be delicious too. Early-ripening at 65 days. Mighty Veggies grafted vegetables are hand grafted onto super strong rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so veggies start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Veggie grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields.
