Canna speciosa is a Canna lily that was introduced into horticulture in 1820. It has green, tropical foliage on stems to about four to six feet tall with brilliant red flowers and narrow petals on dark purple stalks rising well above the foliage. It will bloom freely from summer to fall. Provide rich soils, good fertilizer, and lots of water in full sun.
