Camellia japonica var. quercifolia ‘Pink Mermaid’
Camellia japonica var. quercifolia 'Pink Mermaid' has large, fragrant, pink flowers and leaves with lobed tips.

Camellia japonica var. quercifolia ‘Pink Mermaid’ is a wonderful specimen for milder gardens with large, cupped, fragrant, mid pink flowers centred with a bundle of golden stamens. The arching branches are clothed in glossy, dark-green, broadly elliptic, evergreen leaves that are narrower overall than other camellia and are splayed out at the tips with pointed lobes like a mermaid’s tail. Shrubs will grows 6-10 feet tall and 4-8 feet wide. Camellias appreciate rich, acidic, moist, well-draining soils. Use in the light shady garden as an accent or specimen plant, in containers and as cut flowers. Somewhat deer resistant.
