Calanthe sieboldii hybrids
Calanthe sieboldii hybrids offer large, glowing, yellow flowers sometimes with orange markings and often with sweet fragrance.

Calanthe sieboldii is an evergreen Japanese species with very large, bright yellow flowers in spring that are often sweetly fragrant. It is the showiest species in bloom. These plants are hybrids involving C. sieboldii that will resemble this species but also offer forms with orange colouring. Rare but easy to grow. Vigorous blooming size plants. Calanthes are hardy terrestrial orchids for classic shade garden conditions. They are relatively easy to grow in rich, well-drained soils in part shade.
