Bunchosia argentea
Bunchosa argentea is a small tropical tree from South America with orange-red fruit that tastes like peanut butter!

Bunchosa argentea is a fast-growing, tropical, South American native known as the peanut butter tree. Bright yellow flowers will produce oval, olive-sized, glossy, orange-red fruits that are finely haired with two fruits per flower stem. The fruit is soft and sweet with a peanut butter flavour and a texture similar to that of figs. Plants reach blooming size after 2-3 years. Self-fertile, however, adding an additional genetically different tree can increase yield. Provide heat for best fruit production. In our cooler climate, keep in a container and overwinter in a heated greenhouse. Foliage is silver-green beneath and finely haired. Photo: Wikipedia.
