Buddleia globosa

One year at the VanDusen Garden Show David Tarrant gave a talk by making a bouquet of flowers from around the world. When he revealed a branch of Buddleja davidii ‘Santana’ is an exciting new variegated butterfly bush with green leaves edged in bright yellow. globosa the entire crowd released a collective gasp of plant lust. Despite his talk it is still hard to find. This unique butterfly bush has clusters of perfectly spherical tangerine balls in early summer. The leaves are rich green and nicely textured. Native to the southern Andes. Blooms on old wood so trim right after flowering.
