Buddleja alternifolia Unique is a compact butterfly bush with masses of lightly scented, sterile, lilac flowers for months on end atop willowy, silver-green foliage. Perfect for containers and small spaces, it has a bushy, compact habit to 4 feet tall and 28″ wide in pots but could grow to 6 feet tall in the ground if not pruned. This Buddleia blooms on new wood so cut it back after the flowers are spent to encourage new growth. Easy to grow with blooms from early summer until October.
