Brunnera macrophylla ‘Looking Glass’

Brunnera 'Looking Glass' has nearly all silver leaves, heart shaped, with blue forget-me-not flowers.

This sport of the oh-so-popular ‘Jack Frost’ has incredible completely silver leaves (‘Jack Frost’ has green veins). But you must follow a simple recipe. Take one ‘Looking Glass’ and add it to one prominent spot in the shade border. Combine with plants of contrasting foliage. Add a small measure of trust and a dash of patience. ‘Looking Glass’ won’t achieve its all silver look until it’s mature in a year or so. Until then it will look like ‘Jack Frost’ but definitely worth the short wait. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
