Baptisia ‘Grape Escape’
Baptisia 'Grape Escape' is a false indigo with lupin-like purple flower spikes and creamy-white keels over green foliage.

Baptisia ‘Grape Escape’ is an elegant false indigo with long, dusky purple flower spikes and showy cream coloured keels giving a bi-colour effect. Very floriferous. Gorgeous upright, vase-shaped habit and attractive green foliage looks fabulous during and after blooming and allows for under-planting. Growth habit is 42 to 48 inches tall and 32 to 38 inches wide. Use in the border, specimen or focal point. Drought tolerant once established. Baptisia are like perennial lupins and do not like to be moved once established. Though they are herbaceous they act much like a shrub for design purposes. Nitrogen-fixer. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
