Athyrium otophorum ‘Okanum’
Athyrium otophorum 'Okanum' is an Eared Lady Fern that has red stems and red foliage that matures to pale yellow-green then, finally light green.
Athyrium otophorum ‘Okanum’ is, perhaps my favourite fern: the triangular fronds have red stems (stipes) and emerge with tightly furled, red-flushed foliage which turns to pale yellow-green (almost gold) and eventually to light green. An outstanding specimen plant for the front of the shade border or the woodland garden. Deer resistant.
