Aster laevis 'Bluebird' now known as Symphyotrichum laeve, has clusters of small, blue daisy-like flowers and green foliage.

Aster laevis, now known scientifically as Symphyotrichum laevis, is a North American native. ‘Bluebird’ has clusters of small, strikingly blue, daisy-like flowers with yellow centres that perch on tall stems. After flowering, small seed heads appear and remain attractive in the winter garden. The foliage is lance-shaped, smooth and blue-green looking great all season long. Growth habit is 30 to 36 inches tall with a 24 to 30 inch spread. Cold hardy and easy maintenance. Use in the border, cottage, butterfly and native gardens, plant enmasse for a spectacular effect. Bird and pollinator attractor.
