‘Thunderdome’ is a tall, attractive, cold hardy, late season hybrid aster that offers a superior floral display of single, daisy-like, vibrant purple flowers with yellow centres in late summer to early fall. Perfect for the mid to back of the border, it will grow 3-4 feet tall and three feet wide. Great for late season colour and nectar in the perennial border, cottage, prairie, or butterfly gardens. A good cut flower. Salt, wet soil and drought tolerant once established. Attracts birds and butterflies. Deer and rabbit resistant.
