Aster novae-angliae is the New England aster, an eastern North American native. ‘Grape Crush’ is a prolific bloomer in the sunny late summer garden when little else is in bloom. It forms large, bountiful, rounded mounds up to 30 inches high and 44 inches wide smothered in medium-sized, semi-double purple flowers with orange centres. Use as accents in the border. Also great in containers and as a cut flower. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
