Asplenium (Phyllitis) ebenoides is a dwarf dragon’s tail fern. An unusual evergreen that grows in an erect-arching form. The fronds are narrow with long tapered triangular tips resembling a dragon’s tail. Growth habit is a compact, clumping form 8 to 12 inches tall and wide. Best grown in medium moisture, well-drained, alkaline to slightly acidic soils. Use in the woodland, shade and rock gardens, mass planting, naturalized settings and containers. Good winter interest. Rabbit resistant.
