Asclepias tuberosa ‘Blonde Bombshell’

Asclepias tuberosa 'Blonde Bombshell' is a golden yellow form of this eastern North American butterfly milkweed.

Asclepias tuberosa ‘Blonde Bombshell’ is a golden yellow form of the normally orange butterfly milkweed. It is a clonal selection (rather than a seed strain) with a uniform and improved habit and flower colour consistency. The buds are flushed with orange before opening to the intricate yellow flowers. Blooms for months in summer followed by attractive seed heads. Milkweed and other butterfly species will be very happy if you plant ‘Blonde Bombshell’. Full sun, dry soil. Late to emerge in spring so be patient. Deer resistant.
