Arbutus ‘Marina’

Arbutus 'Marina' is a hybrid that resembles our native A. menziesii but is easier to grow in a garden situation.

Arbutus ‘Marina’ is a hybrid of unknown origin that resembles our native A. menziesii but is easier to grow in a garden situation being less sensitive to moisture and garden soils. It has the same large, lush, evergreen foliage and gorgeous, cinnamon coloured, peeling bark plus pink flowers year round and edible orange and red fruit that kind of resemble strawberries suggesting that A. unedo is part of its lineage.
