Anemone nemorosa ‘Vestal’

Anemone nemorosa 'Vestal' is a beautiful double form where the centres are filled with a delicate dome of tiny white petals.

Anemone nemorosa is a charming woodland groundcover that produces cute little one inch wide flowers in early spring above nicely dissected foliage. ‘Vestal’ is a beautiful double form where the centres are filled with a delicate dome of tiny white petals surrounded by a ring of normal sized petals. Known as wood anemone or windflower, plant them around dark flowered hellebores to help show them off against the dark soil or as an ephemeral groundcover beneath deciduous trees and shrubs. They will go dormant in mid to late summer.
