This charming red or ‘Rubra’ form of Anemone multifida deserves to be better-known. Wonderfully textured, finely cut foliage with little silver hairs gives rise to deep pink cups with yellow centres in early summer. The seed heads look like soft white upward-facing strawberries. Can rebloom in the fall. This species offers great interest through the entire season at the front of the sunny border. From the northern US and Canada with disjunct populations in South America.
