Alstroemeria ‘Spring Valley’

Alstroemeria 'Spring Valley' is a cold-hardy Peruvian lily with yellow petals with dark orange highlights.

Alstroemeria ‘Valley Spring’ is a semi-compact, cold hardy Peruvian lily to zone 5b. The beautiful, lightly-spotted, yellow flowers have a burnt orange glow in the throats and on the petal reverses. They will bloom continuously from early summer to frost on stems up to 24 inches tall. Plants will be clumping or with clumps slowly expanding but will not be invasive. Pull stems instead of cutting to encourage a quicker reflush. Wonderful in the mixed border, in containers and long lasting in vases. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant. In colder zones, mulch clumps with a foot of fallen leaves or grow in pots and protect in a frost-free location for winter.
