Alocasia macrorrhizos ‘Variegata’
Alocasia macrorrhizos 'Variegata' has thick, sculpted and glossy green leaves with cream variegation.

This rare and highly desirable giant elephant ear, Alocasia macrorrhizos ‘Variegata’, is quite different from the better-known Colocasia esculenta. Its variably variegated leaves are thick, sculpted and glossy green with cream and white and are held upright on rigid stems. Every leaf is different. A large specimen is guaranteed to stop garden visitors in their tracks! Reportedly hardy in zone 7b to 8 if the tuber is protected. But why risk it when it makes an excellent and dramatic houseplant?
