Allium chloranthum ‘Yellow Fantasy’

Allium chloranthum is a rare species from Lebanon and southern Turkey with open flower heads like exploding fireworks of yellow to greenish yellow.

Allium chloranthum is a rare species from Lebanon and southern Turkey that resembles A. flavum. It has open flower heads like exploding fireworks of yellow to greenish yellow. ‘Yellow Fantasy’ is a selected form that we assume is better than the species but at this point information is scarce. It offers a unique colour break from the purples and whites most common in the ornamental onions. Few plants can offer the unique flower forms of ornamental onions. Every garden should have Alliums. Plant in multiples of 3, 5, 7 or more.
