Alchemilla mollis ‘Thriller’
This unendingly useful garden edger had other uses in 16th century Europe. It was claimed that linen dipped in a potion of lady’s mantle makes sagging breasts hard and firm. Wonderful with Geranium ‘Jolly Bee’ or ‘Rozanne’. Best along pathways where you can see the rain drops collected like jewels upon the lime green, scalloped leaves. The lovely chartreuse flowers are good for cutting. This common plant hails from exotic locales: the eastern Carpathians, Turkey and the Caucasus.
