Alcea rosea Spotlight ‘Blacknight’
Alcea rosea Spotlight 'Blacknight' is a hollyhock with large, old-fashioned, single, purple-black flowers with small white eyes.
Alcea rosea ‘Blacknight’ is a new take on a old garden classic. From the Spotlight series, this hollyhock will shine with large, old-fashioned, single, purple-black flowers with small white eyes on tall spikes over a low mound of foliage. A true perennial and superior cultivar all around. Easy to grow in a variety of soils including seasonally dry sites but hollyhocks really perform best in rich, loamy soil with good moisture. Use in the border and in large containers. Pollinator attractor. Rabbit resistant.
