Huge bronze leaves and tall (for an ajuga) blue spikes in spring. Looks nice below Philadelphus ‘Aureus’, Lonicera ‘Baggensen’s Gold’ or the emerging foliage of Geranium ‘Anne Folkard’. Bugleweeds are unendingly useful with their variety of evergreen foliage and lovely blue flowers. Use them as attractive groundcovers or tumbling out of containers from full sun to full shade!
