Agave nizadensis

A unique agave with a light green central stripe. Great for container culture.

This agave is rare in cultivation as well as the wild. It has long, narrow leaves with a pale stripe down the middle. In cooler temperatures or with some water stress plants can develop a beautiful red flush to the foliage. With its small size and limited spines this agave could make a great pot specimen and winter houseplant. Endemic to a small region in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico.
