Agapanthus ‘Sugar Plum’

Agapanthus 'Sugar Plum' is a lily-of-the-Nile that offers large, dark purple flowers on sturdy stems and lush green foliage.

Agapanthus ‘Sugar Plum’ offers very showy, reblooming, floriferous and voluminous flower heads of vibrant dark purple, trumpet-shaped flowers on strong, sturdy stems for an extended blooming period throughout summer and fall. Arching and lush green foliage compliment and contrast beautifully. Fast-growing and semi-compact, 22 inches tall and 28 inches wide. Lily-of-the-Nile are gorgeous, subtropical-looking, long-blooming plants. Thrives in full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Awesome in the perennial border, grown in swaths, and in containers (where many gardeners find Agapanthus easier to bloom). A great cut flower. Mulch each winter with fallen leaves or protect above freezing in its pot. Hummingbird and bee attractor. Deer resistant.
