Agapanthus ‘Black Buddha’ is a hardy lily-of-the-Nile and one of the darkest, similar to ‘Back in Black’, with rich green foliage, stiff, upright, dark stems, black buds, and bright, cobalt blue, trumpet-shaped flowers forming allium-like orbs. Dark stripes feature down the centre of the petals. Attractive black seed pods follow. A more compact perennial with a growth habit of 24 to 36 inches tall and a 24 inch spread. Mulch each winter with fallen leaves. Plant en masse, in mixed borders, containers and in the vase. Birds and pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
