Adiantum x tracyi

Adiantum x tracyi is a rare hybrid fern with black stems and lacy, bright green fronds. Sure to delight in the shade garden.

Tracy’s maidenhair fern (Adiantum x tracyi) is an attractive sterile cross between A. jordanii (maternal parent) and A. aleuticum that occurs where the two species grow together in California. It is a protected California native fern. It can grow to 1-2 feet tall and wide with light green, lacy foliage on black stipes. Our tissue cultured clones are heat tolerant.
