‘Ken’s Red’ is a prolific producer with large fruit with purple-red skin and sweet red flesh. Actinidia arguta produce fragrant greenish white flowers followed by small, grape-sized fruit with smooth skin with a taste similar to but often sweeter than the large, fuzzy kiwis found in grocery stores. A mature vine can produce 50-100 pounds of fruit per year. Harvest in fall. Requires ‘Hardy Male’ or ‘Issai’ as a pollinator.
